Lost Documents with Catalina update

The only documents that I can find are the few I have under "recents". I tried a few suggestions found online but to no avail. Any ideas where my documents could be?

I upgraded to Catalina but did not know my old microsoft documents that I guess are 32 bit would disappear. How do I get all my documents back? Did you enable iCloud? If so, look in your iCloud drive.
