There is bound to be an Advanced button or similar to reveal further options.
If you use Image Capture for scanning with your Canon printer/ scanner click on
the Show Details button for extra options.
Got it. Thanks! I did find a canon driver which scans in a very simple fashion. Seems to do the job.
