I write my text in "two columns" on Pages. I have several pictures inserted in the text. Every time I add text further up in the text, it becomes a problem. The images in the right-hand column are only moved straight down when they change side, so they are still in the right-hand column, although they should actually be in the left-hand side on the new page ...

I suggest clicking an image and trying a change in the settings here to 'Move with Text' and 'Inline with Text'.
