Accidental Mac operating system deletion

My mac got a virus from my daughters playing games on it. I reset it and somehow erased the operating system. When I power on it's blank. How do I fix it?

There are no viruses that affect your mac, so you overreacted by erasing your mac.

your daughters may have downloaded malware/ adware which can easily be dealt

with by installing and running https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

Have you been making regular backups then you can restore your mac from

the backup.

If you have not been making regular backups you will need to reinstall

the OS through the Recovery Servers.
