midi keyboard not recognized

Hello, all!

I have an older midi keyboard - an M-Audio Radium 49. M-Audio hasn't released a new driver since 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion). With my update to Catalina (10.15), my computer no longer recognizes my midi keyboard.

Are there any hacks to get around this before I spend money on a new midi keyboard? I hate throwing something away that still works just because the driver is out of date.

I just figured out that if I connect with a midi/usb cable instead of a usb/usb cable it works. Voila!
