I have discovered that the current version of Adobe Flash Player compatible with Catalina is only designed to work with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera as per the the Adobe website.

Flash is dead. Even Adobe, the source of Flash Player is ending Flash support end 2020. There may be a few outdated sites that still include Flash but the majority of sites have transitioned away from Flash in favor of newer technology like HTML5.
