shared album not updating on MacBook

I have been using a shared album on photos with family and suddenly new photos my daughter posted aren't updating on my MacBook. I can still see them on my phone. How can I fix this so they update on my MacBook again?

Shared Photos album stopped synching on MacOS, no problem on iOS My son shared a Photos album with me a year ago. It worked fine up until May 9 when he shared new photos. I saw them on my iPhone 11 and thought, great. A few days ago, I tried to look at that album on my MacBook Pro, and none of the new photos he has shared since May 9th have synched. I checked my iMac, and it's the same. I just updated both computers to MacOS 10.15.5 and it still won't synch. Does MacOS no longer support shared albums? How can I get my MacOS machines to update this shared album when iOS has no problem showing all the new photos?

Shared Albums not updating on Mac My husband and I share a couple of photo albums. Lately when he shares photos to one of our shared albums, they don't show up on my MacBook Pro. They will immediately show up on my iPhone. I have turned photo sharing off and then on again, and I have restarted the Mac. This used to work well but has not worked for about a month. We have plenty of shared storage available.

First check family sharing is still on in settings, and that you are sharing with everyone you should be.

Then check in photos icloud prefereces that shared albums is on.

If they are both already on, and the shared album is still not syncing, try turning them both off, waiting a while then turning them on again.
