2015 Macbook Air, updated to Catalina 10.15.7 two days ago. Following that update, the fan runs constantly and battery drains much faster; from 100% to 0 in approx. 90 minutes. Neither of these problems existed prior to the update. SMC reset attempted, no success. Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance.

Was the 10.15.6 to 10.15.7 done automatically? If so, suggest downloading the 10.15.7 Combo Update It may resolve the issue.

Thanks for your prompt reply; the 10.15.7 update was done automatically. Just prior to receiving your message, I signed out of iCloud and restarted the computer, then signed back in to my iCloud account (suggested here - https://mrmacintosh.com/catalina-10-15-7-update-accountsd-using-400-if-using-icloud-mail/).
That rectified the fan issue, but the battery was still draining at an excessive rate. The Combo Update link that you provided seems to have fixed that problem. Much obliged.
