Apple ID and password that were used to set up ipad.

Neither we (just users like you) nor Apple can help you, sorry, unless you are the original owner and you still have the proof of purchase (receipt/invoice).

Shouldn’t be this case, activation lock can be removed only by the previous owner, with the credentials that were used to activate that iPhone/iPad. Without those credentials, that device is useless to you.

I have the same problem. Also I still have all the original invoices etc and have been reactivated before in 2016. Now it seems Apple just won’t reactivate again after many phone calls . They are just not helpful

If you have the original purchase receipts including the serial number, and have matching photo ID, have a chat directly with Apple Support. If Apple won’t reactivate it and for whatever reason(s) that might be, nobody here can help you—again, we’re other users and not Apple. Recycle it, if the Apple ID and password cannot be recovered.
