Adding 2nd monitor on 2017 iMac

I have a 2017 5K retinal display iMac and want to add another monitor. When I go to Display I do not have the arrangement tab. Will it appear when I plug in another monitor? Or is this not an option with my mac? Same thing with my 2014 MacBook Pro. Thank

Yes the display settings and arrangement will show up when a second display is connected to the iMac.
