issues with health app taking up phone storage

since the IOS 14.0.1 update, my health app is taking up tons of storage on my phone, 107.47 GB!!!! which is maxing out my phone's storage. This seems to also affect my apple watch's battery in some strange way as the battery on the watch quickly runs low. Is anyone else having these issues?

Apple has this support document that might fix your problem: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211865

I do see other people reporting even up to several terabytes (TB, 1000GB) of Health data, supposedly on their iPhone.

Do note that restoring your iPhone and Apple Watch can result is some missing data, such as missing Watch data from the time that WatchOS 7 / iOS 14 was installed until now. And maybe missing apps that are no longer in the App Store. Also if you are connected to your work, you may need to link it back up to your work servers. And Apply Pay and Face/Touch ID will need to be setup anew.
