iPad not showing up as option for MacBook Air Airplay

I'm trying to use my iPad as a second screen for my my MacBook Air. Despite following all the directions I found online, the iPad is not showing up in the AirPlay menu.

2020 MacBook Air is running MacOS Catalina 10.15.2

5th generation iPad is running iOS 13.6.1
