That would be correct. Setting the default location would be the same steps from before in the link here: Change where your music files are stored on Mac

Sorry but this doesn’t answer my query. My problem is i have transferred my music to an external drive. Approximately 120gb. For a short time i could access my music on the external drive by clicking on the Music app on my mac. Now I can’t access my music on the external drive. I can see it in Finder and even play individual songs. But cannot access via the Music app as before. I have tried repeatedly to select the Library via holding Option key when clicking Music app. However i am unable to Choose the Library as it appears.

any suggestions would be appreciated
