Drag Logic project from external to desk top?

Morning,

Just checking that I have been doing this correctly for a few years.

I save all my Logic projects to an external drive (and make a back up)

When I go back to work on projects I just click on the project within the drive and open/work on it, is this ok?

or am I meant to drag it from the external drive to the desk top, then open/work on it, then drag it back to the external drive at the end of the day?

Just checking!

Yes, it's fine to work on an external hard drive. Don't drag it onto your desktop for work.
