iPhone not charging

My phone was not charging and it completely died and now I put it on the charger and it says its charging but has not turned on and I left it like that for over night. Whats wrong with it?

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen

If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge

If the issue persists, you can bring your phone to the Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service provider. You can book an appointment on getsupport.apple.com or use the Apple Support app.
