No sound for midi in Logic Pro X

I have my Roland A-500 Pro hooked up by USB to Logic Pro X. I can hear it as a software instrument, but when I try use it as an external midi track, I can see the keys working, but I hear no sound. BTW, I can hear sound out of Garageband as a Midi track. I have installed the latest drivers.

CAn someone help me to hear the sound?

I've been researching the internet, and every "solution" hasn't worked.

Imported MIDI Files Not Making Sound... Sometimes? As suggested in the title, when I import MIDI files into Logic Pro 10.7.9, they don't make sound... sometimes. I'll elaborate; When I first drag the MIDI file into my project, it creates new tracks based on the midi files' instruments. They all make sound, as you would expect. The problem arises when I drag one of those imported regions onto existing tracks. It won't make sound. Then I drag a different imported track onto an existing region and–wait–it makes sound? I'm really confused, please help! I've attached a video (no audio, sorry) to show this happening. Can't hear Roland JV1010's sounds in Garageband Using a Yamaha DGX-660 and Focusrite 4i4 to connect to my Macbook Pro. We are able to play the Yamaha keyboard sounds nicely, as well as Garageband's Software Instruments. Awesome! We just can't hear the Roland JV1010's sounds! Right now, we have the Roland connected to the Focusrite (from the Roland's L Mono output to the instrument input on the front of the Focusrite). Do I need a midi cable? If so, do we run it from the output of the sound module to the Focusrite's midi in? Do I need a certain setting in Garageband to hear these sounds? How do we set the midi settings in Garageband?

I may be missing something, but isn't your Roland a MIDI controller? In other words, it has no built-in sounds. It simply drives software instruments inserted on a MIDI track, but cannot supply sounds that it doesn't have. MIDI itself has no sound.

You could use the external MIDI track if you had an external synthesizer or sound module because they have built-in sounds.
