MBP Battery died

Hello, I wondered if anyone could shed any light on an issue that has arisen today with my 2015 MBP.

Suddenly the laptop will only stay on if connected to mains. The battery says it’s at 86% but also says “Replace Now”. If the mains is connected the machine works fine, but light on the charger is orange. If the mains is the disconnected, the machine immediately shuts off.

I’ve tried a SMC reset with no joy.

I bought this just over 3 years ago, which seems a bit premature for the battery to have died on me.

I have managed to get a Genius Bar appointment for next week, is there anything else I can try in the meantime and, if not, how much am I likely to have to shell out for a new battery to be fitted?

Possibly, it depends on your usage pattern and environment conditions. You said bought 3 years ago and a 2015 MBP??

But...your cycle count is low which makes me think premature failure. Is your MBP a 15” model? If so, check this:

Edit: just noticed a 60 W adapter in your system report so you likely have a 13” and the recall doesn’t apply.
