Customize Touch Bar Greyed Out

Do you have the option "Expanded Control Strip" activated under your Keyboard preferences? Change it back to "App Controls with Control Strip"

Why on earth would apple remove the best feature from the MacBook Pro aka the touchbar my new MacBook Pro doesn’t have a touchbar why? I was always a big fan of the touchbar and there was no reason for apple to remove it. This is one of the worst decisions that apple has made

Apple Please bring back the TouchBar! I just upgraded to a 2023 MacBook Pro M2 Pro from a 2018 MacBook Pro Core i9, and I find everything to be better except for the fact that I do miss the Touchbar. Specially when typing things and using it for spell corrections, or emoticons while texting on Messages or Whatsapp web. I do hope they bring it back!. I am even thinking of returning this new Mac and go back to my old one and accept that my photo editing will take a bit longer again. But the interface will be much more. This new one without a Touch Bar kind of gives the feeling of an older laptop. I hope Apple brings the Touchbar back!. And for the users that don't like it, there can be a setting to disable it or just make it function as Fn keys. So everyone is happy!. On a less important note, I do miss the "MacBook Pro" letters on the lower part of the screen too.
