MacBook Pro will not install Mac OS 10.15.6 update

Hi,

This update popped up on my Mac some time ago. It doesn't matter how many times I restart my MacBook, the update will not take.

I am using MacOS Catalina

Version 10.15.4

Please help.

Thank you.

Instead of going through the System Preferences> Software Update mechanism, do this.

First of all check your mac has at least 20GBs of free space.

Connect your mac to your router via cable rather than WiFi.

Restart the mac.

Make a full back up of your mac.

Download the 10.15.6 Combo update here,

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2048?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

do not use the mac while it is downloading

Once downloaded double-click to install.

My biggest files are my .mov files I am traveler and have many short videos from my travels. Over the past couple of days I have tried using different (free) file compressors, but nothing seems to work for me-or I just can't figure them out.

I don't want to delete any of these videos, but need to free up space.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.
