Cant back up WhatsApp to iCloud

I have checked everything and even though I have 2tb iCloud space I cannot back up my WhatsApp convos. It keeps telling me to free up space on my phone.

iPhone X, iOS 13

That's because you've run out of storage space on your device which has nothing to do with iCloud storage space as the two are vastly different.

Yes, I do understand that but my whatsapp data is more than 100gb and phone is 64 so I want everything on my icloud.

Is that not possible?

No.

iCloud is for backups and syncing only, not your usual storage like DropBox.
