can't get the free apple tv supscxription

I just bought a new MacBook air and when I attempted to sign up for free one year apple tv the only option I get is 7 day free trial. What's up with this? What am I doing wrong? I have made several attempts.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

If you qualify, and if you did as described in the guide, and you still do not get to see the year offer, then contact Apple Support. They can assist in getting you the service, if needed using activation codes.
