iPad Pro 2nd generation touchscreen issue
I know that this is a very common problem because it’s all over the internet and forums, but here we go...
My iPad Pro’s (2nd gen) touchscreen is intermittently unresponsive. While using it, the screen will simply not register any touches, taps, swipes, etc. The Home button always works, but the touchscreen does not always work. This will happen multiple times in the duration I am using the iPad and can last up to 10 seconds per occurrence.
I purchased the iPad when it was new (2018 I think) and it didn’t seem to have the problem in the first few months, but ever since it has never stopped.
I even have a problem with the Apple iPad fold-out keyboard...it will not always register that it is attached and if I’m typing a text or e-mail or anything that could potentially use the touchscreen keypad, I have to fidget with the keyboard for 5 minutes to get it to recognize it. Even then, it doesn’t always work. I’m not sure if these 2 issues are related.
As you all can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating on a device that has all touch input.
I have no notion of what, if anything, triggers this issue, except that it never happens while using the Apple Pencil. All I can say is that it happens every time I use it regardless of the app I’m using, regardless of the battery level, regardless of how long I’ve been using it, regardless of whether or not I restart it. I can assume that it will happen each and every time I pick up my expensive iPad And try to do something productive.
I sincerely hope Apple looks into this because it is real and I just love the iPad Pro.
