iTunes stuck on "preparing iphone for software update"

I've had my phone plugged in and it's been stuck on this screen for an hour and if i try to exit it says that it will restore my phone. What do i do? Im trying to update it on a windows computer

The first effort to restore the phone through iTunes failed because of unknown error 4010. After disabling all firewalls on my Windows 10 desktop iTunes started as yet with restoring the phone. But after 4 hrs. it is no further than indicating that it is preparing the update of software on the phone. In the meantime the phone is still stuck on the restore screen but gives every now and then a ping whilst showing the apple logo for just a second. How do I get iTunes to complete the job?

Saved a os restore point in itunes. The update failed freezing phone screen showing logo and 20% progress lline. Itunes can't recognize the phone to restore it. How do I get itunes to restore the iphone SE after the update failed and the phone was left frozen with the progress line showing 20% completion.

Iphone stuck on restore screen My iphone got stuck in the restore screen where it asks to connect to a computer after it updated this morning. I did the force restart several times and brings me back to the same screen. I have a Mac with macOS Monterey, iTunes doesn’t work with this one, i was told to try with finder, but the phone is not showing on finder either… HELP!

Have you tried quitting iTunes and starting again?
