updating to catalina os

hi guys. I have a macbook pro 13inch (late 2013) with high sierra os and want to know updating os to catalina will increase my mac speed or reduce it?it's better to update it or not?

I'm using Catalina on my MacBook Pro 13" Early 2015, and the experience has been pretty good. I first upgraded via the Beta Program and it slowed down my mac quite a lot, however now it runs very well. Personal preference but i would say go for it.
