New IPhone 11 no sounds for texts alerts

I have tried all the fixes that I could search but my text sounds don't work consistently. I am receiving texts but with no sound alerts. This is frustrating and time consuming trying to fix it. I read on this forum from a few years back to disable my bluetooth but that is not a viable solution because my apple watch needs the bluetooth feature accessible. Any ideas on how to fix this? This is a pretty big deal for such an expensive phone not to be able to do.

Occasionally there are glitches. When this happens, restarting your. iPhone can usually resolve it. Switching the sound might have done the trick. You can try going back to chord if you prefer that sound - to see if it works with that again,
