Install Google Chrome on MacBook Pro

I would like to use Google Chrome as my browser on my MacBook Pro. I have followed the instructions for Mac provided by Google and downloaded and installed the program, but it does not let me open it to use it. Any other advise?

Thank you for your reply! I figured it out on my own with some user tips online,

but it had to do with the read/write permissions on the file. What was happening was that after installation, Chrome would show up in the application folder but I couldn’t open the application to get a Chrome browser window. Once I changed all permissions to Read & Write, it opened. Thanks again!
