Quicktime Pro

I understand that Quicktime Pro is no longer available. What is the best alternative that will allow me to convert an mp4 to a .mov file (hopefully for free)?

There is no difference because they both are just wrappers for the codecs.

Just change the file extension from .mp4 to .mov.
