Dual sim tray for iPhone 11

Support and AT&T say my phone supports two sim cards. When I remove the sim tray from my iPhone 11, the back side does not hold a sim card. What am I missing?

One is an esim that is built into the phone.

Only iPhone from China. Hong Kong support 2 physical SIM cards.

Otherwise you have an eSIM and nano SIM.
