battery condition : service recommended

my macbook pro is shutting down around 55% battery. when i checked it, it shows me battery condition : service recommended. what it means?

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.15

It means that you should Contact Support to get your battery serviced.

My MacBook Pro 16" that I got on December 31 started showing much shorter battery life a couple of weeks ago. Now battery health shows, "service recommended."

Is there a known battery issue with the 16" MacBook?
