Airpods Firmware Not Updating

I purchased an AirPods 2nd Generation with a charging case and the firmware version that I got out of the box was 1A691. I tried doing everything and followed everything that the apple support suggested, but I still can't update the firmware of my airpods. Did anyone else face the same issue? If yes, kindly let me know how to resolve it.
