I’m trying to update some of my apps so I can complete school work, however when ever I try to update them it asks me to enter my Apple ID password which I do and it says to try again, I have tried and tried and even changed my password and nothing works. I think it’s because my iPad is still linked to my father Apple ID but I no longer know the information for that Apple ID and have no way of getting that information. Can anyone help?

Basically, If an app is purchased/downloaded using one Apple ID, then you can't update it with another Apple ID. The app is inextricably linked to the first Apple ID. You'll have to delete it and repurchase/download it again with the second Apple ID.
