safari fake virus pop ups

once i had a safari pop up that said i had 27 viruses on my phone and told me to download a app on the app store, and i did download it so what will happen to my phone?

can I get malware or virus by visiting an infected website? Hello, I accidentally clicked on a popup „your iPhone has viruses“. Can there something download in the background or smth? Sorry for my bad english :) Apple already wrote something about that and they are warning to click on those popups. Is that because it can infect your device? I didnt jailbrake best regards

There is no virus that can run on an iPhone.

You should delete that app, you don't need app from false ads.

You can -> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
