iTunes won't install on latest version of Catalina

I'm trying to install iTunes. I updated Mac OS to 10.15.5 and have am up to date with all the other software updates.

When I try and install either version 12.8.1 or 12.8.2, I get an error message saying it can't be installed as I don't have the latest OS, which doesn't make sense as the OS I have installed is later than what is listed.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

Hi,

Itunes is not compatible with latest version of MacOS. It has been replaced by the Music app. What happened to iTunes? – Apple Support
