backup file is empty - yet says Iphone is backed up.

Itunes disappeared [accidently deleted?] from my win10 PC. I downloaded from microsoft store and installed with no problem.

I then backed up my Iphone - says it backed up.

Then looked for backup folder by searching PC for %mobilesync% it came up once and had a subfolder called Backup. That Backup folder was empty.

Where are my files???

tks in advance Ed

You should really get iTunes from https://apple.com/itunes rather than the Microsoft store. The Microsoft version does not install the iOS drivers. If they were previously installed it will work, but you may not have the latest drivers.

To see the backup files (there will be over 10,000 files in a single backup) go to iTunes Preferences, Devices, right click on the backup and there should be a link to go to the backup location in Windows Explorer.
