Epson Perfection 2480 Photo scanner

It has worked perfect for years, I always do updates, and yesterday it starts to scan and then says "there's no document". Well, yes there is. So this morning I reset, unplugged, checked updates, tried to scan. Same thing. Can't find anything in technical or ideas so am asking if you've heard of this before. I'm using Mac mini OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.5
