Hello,
As already indicated, if your AirPods are out of Bluetooth range, out of charge, or in the case with the cover closed, Find My won't give a current location. You just have to find them manually by looking for them. However, Find My may list the most recent location where they were last connected.
See this for more detail:
There is no way to tell if they are connected anywhere else.
Good luck.

Modify your Credentials:
I'd suspect that someone knows of your Apple ID credentials - So, modify them, ASAP:
If you have not made this change on your own, then perform the following:
their not showing up which means someone has moved them out of range which someone probably stole them is there anyway customer service can tell if their connected somewhere else
To show up find my, they need to be connected and within bluetooth range, there is no way to see if anybody has stollen them
