cloud music library

I am on latest Catalina on my iMac (2017) Music app shows "updating cloud music library" but nothing is happening. Why"

Updating iCloud Music Library is a background process - there isn't much in the way of visual feedback when it is working. You may see a small activity icon somewhere in the application window if files are being uploaded. Clicking that might give more information.
