Can you use any type of iPad to download photos onto an SD card?

Can you use any type of iPad to download photos onto an SD card . The lightning to SD Card reader will transfer from SD to iPad but can you do it the other way round . I’m wanting to update the SD Card on my digital photo frame

Hello,

On iPad models running iPadOS 13 you can access external storage devices (like an SD card) in the Files application just like you would on a traditional computer.
