Hello. I have an imac late 2009. OK its old but I used to run high Sierra. Few days ago I changed hard disk and the service team installed Yosemite. I tried to upgrade to capitan but the installation process can't finish. Says that there is no packet for installation. After that I have to restart again and again without any results. How can I go to Yosemite again?
If the mac is caught in this installation loop, you may have to boot to your Recovery HD (Restart and press and hold the Command and R keys). Open Disk Utility and run Verify on the Disk.
You may have to reinstall the OS from the Recovery Servers, make sure the mac is connected to your router
using a cable rather than rely on WiFi.
Either that or take it back to the service team.
What method did you use to install El Capitan.
And what state is your mac in, can you boot up to Yosemite
or can you no longer boot your mac.
Can you boot up to your Recovery HD.
I downloaded from app store with my apple Id. I can't boot up in Yosemite. All the times tries to finish the installation of El capitan.
I can't upgrade to El capitan
