Where are the photos imported to the photo app stored on a Mac?

Where would I point Plex and Google backup and sync to access the pictures that have been imported on my imac since the iphoto app has been abandoned?

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

The library with the newer Photos app is different that the library was with iPhotos. Photos migrates the older iPhoto Library into it's library. Google sync may still be looking at the old library. You can open Google Backup & Sync, click on the 3 vertical dots Settings icon at the right side of it in the menu bar, click Preferences, and select the correct Photos Library.

I thought mine did too, but looking at it now, nothing has copied to Google Photos since last October. I hadn't noticed sooner because photos from my phone update there directly, but those from my wife's phone only update after being imported to the imac. Or at least they used to. And Plex used to see them. This may be complicated by having set my photo library to point use my wife's account on the same imac, but everything worked until recently.

Thanks. I think I had already pointed it to the photos 'Masters' directory but now new things seem to be going to originals. I moved to look at the whole library and it is uploading again. I hope it is smart enough to skip duplicates.
