watch band won't lock

I just received my new Apple watch series 5 and I have no problems locking the s/m band in place but the M/L will not stay locked. I've tried trouble shooting by slightly wiggling it but will will not click.

I had the same issue. I called Apple Support and they told me that I needed to pay $50 a new band for my 1 day old $500+ watch. I'm beyond frustrated.

I purchased an Apple Watch 3 on amazon a few days ago. Received and watch band will NOT lock.
