Malicious application

I got a notice from support.apple.com/security about a virus. It telling me to call an Apple Helpline at 866-229-0**8. Is this an authentic apple telephone number?

No that will be a scam, Apple would never contact you like that.

Plus there are no viruses that affect the mac.

I received a recorded message on my cell phone from Apple Support that my Apple ID has been compromised. The message instructed me to contact Apple Support a specified phone number. Received malware that my iPhone have security problems. They are telling me to download info to install. The message says coming from Apple? Ignore?
