I want to buy a new 21 inch iMac. Does it have a built-in CD player?
Many that have bought the low end model have complained that it's slower than the 10 year old Mac they got rid of.
But I guess it depends how light of user you are, Internet is no longer very light duty.
Sorry, there is no version of new Mac that has a built in CD/DVD unit. An external unit would be required.
As Stedman1 says that was eliminatedfrom iMacs in 2012.
Also beware on the new 21.5" Macs that you'll be stuck with the RAM amount...
Avoid only 8 GB of RAM.
Avoid i3 CPU.
Avoid 5400 rpm drive.
Why do you recommend avoiding the i3 CPU? I am a very light user but because of poor eyesight, I like the larger screen.
I don’t know about i3 CPU, it recommended get iMac with SSD, the 5400 rpm drive too slow.
