Apple id has been locked for security reasons

Hi. I have a problem. I was trying to sell my old iphone 6s, made the restore, erased all data on it, i also deleted this device from my icloud.

After all this, my old phone keeps notifying me, that it's still linked to another icloud account via my old email, which i changed 3 years ago. When i try to sing in to this account via my old email (i know the password and all), it says: 'This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons.' After i click Unlock the account and enter old email, it gives me answer: 'This Apple ID is not valid or not supported.'

So i can't sell my phone because it won't open and also i can't unsign it from my old icloud profil, even though my old email still works and i have password for it.

Any help how to solve this.

See this document If your Apple ID is locked or disabled https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204106 "If you or someone else enters your password, security questions, or other account information incorrectly too many times, your Apple ID automatically locks to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services.

If you use security questions with your Apple ID, or if you don't have access to a trusted device or phone number, go to iforgot.apple.com. Then you can unlock your account with your existing password or reset your password. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to unlock your account, your Apple ID will remain locked and you can try again the next day.”

Being able to answer your security questions satisfactorily is critical. See Security and your Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201303

This document says “without proof of your identity via security questions and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you reset a password or perform any other actions on your account.”

Thus, if you can't, or couldn't, answer your security questions satisfactorily, you will need to have your original purchase receipt for the device with its serial number on it and to contact Apple Support in order to move forward in making the device functional. Here are some support options you can use:

If necessary, if you are the original owner, contact Apple. They can remove the Activation Lock if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)
