When I listen to music on my air pods, the volume is quiet, so I turn the volume up and everyone can hear it. There is no gunk in them, I've cleaned it many times.
And when I try to turn it down so other people can't hear it, It gets to quiet to hear at all.
Nothing happened to the air pods, no water, no damage, one day it just randomly went quiet and stopped working.
Hey so I contacted Apple Support and they provided me with an answer.
So they told me that the inner speakers in the AirPods broke, so the music is playing in the outer speakers.
good news though, this is covered by warranty, you can book an appointment with an Apple store and get them replaced
the same thing happened to me not a week ago, have any tips on how to fix this??

It is not uncommon for AirPods to be audible to 3rd parties when used at a high volume.
