How can I tell whether a lightning to USB cable is for charging AND syncing not just charging?

If the Lightning to USB cable is made by Apple, it will support charging and data/syncing. Of you have third-party cable, then you’ll have to rely upon the manufacturer’s specifications.


That said, personally, I’ve not yet seen a charge-only Lightning cable.
