Trouble finding installer file

I am planning to replace the hard drive in my Macbook pro 2012 (running 10.13.6) and am trying to create a bootable macOS High Sierra USB in case I need it. I cannot find the installer file anywhere on the app store. It is not in my purchase history and I've tried following the link from the apple support webpage on creating the installer and it opens the appstore, but does not take me to the High Sierra installer file. Anyone know where it can be found? Thanks!

High Sierra is still available from the App Store,

Use your Safari browser to click on this link,

How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support

go to Section 4 and click on Get macOs High Sierra.

You will now be directed to the App Store

and it will open the High Sierra download page.

It should say Get, press on Get to start the download.

This will download Install macOS High Sierra.app to your Applications folder.

With that in place you can then make a bootable USB.

Before upgrading make a full back up of your Mac.

Check that third party apps you use have updates available for the new OS.

Check that your printers/ scanners etc have updated drivers and software available for the new OS.

Connect your mac to your router via cable rather than rely on WiFi.

Do not use your mac while it is downloading

and do not use any other devices that share the same internet connection.
