Can I download music cd on iPad

I have many music cds that I would listen to if they were on my new iPad. Can it be done? Do they take up a lot of memory? Or what may be a better way for downloading them so I can then get rid of the cds as they’re taking up a lot of space in our small home.

Give Apple Music a try. There is a free 3-month trial subscription. Your iPad has a native Music app. For your Chromebook and Samsung tablet there is an Apple Music app available on the Google Play store. Apple also has an Music web app.

I've thousands of CDs collecting dust in storage and use an Apple Music subscription instead. I've yet to find an album in my collection that I can't find on Apple Music.
