ipod classic doesn't sync after pc reset

I had to reset my laptop, and when I've downloaded iTunes, it won't sync my ipod classic. I've found out that classic is now unsupported, but is there an old iTunes I can get from somewhere that will support it? Thanks.

If you've reset your computer you'll likely need to set up your sync selections again, otherwise simply pressing sync may do nothing. See Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support.

Hi, thanks for your reply. No, I don't get an error message at all. iTunes can see I have a Classic, but when I press to sync, it doesn't. I ran the diagnostic, and they're all green until the last one when it tells me I haven't connected my ipod Touch!! I have tried it on a laptop and a desktop and get the same result each time. Until I reset my laptop, it worked perfectly fine.
