new iPhone stuck in activation
just got new iPhone SE and while trying to activate to existing number it is hung up on "it may take a few minutes to activate your iPhone. Currently a few minutes = about an hour and counting.

I had the same problem, in attempting to activate my new iPhone SE (2020) data was not transferring from my old iPhone SE. The problem was that during the activation process I was asked for the last 4 digits of my social security number. What was wanted was not my number but instead the last 4 digits of the Apple account holder's (my wife) social security number. I entered her number and the entire process was quickly completed.
